The difference between real BS and fake BS 1970:2012 Hot water bottle

Body thickness

Real BS 1970:2012 rubber hot water bottle body thickness is 1.8mm,1.9mm also 2mm

Fake BS 1970:2012 rubber hot water bottle body thickness is around 1.5mm

Regular quality bottle body thickness is 1.2mm, 1.1mm

Weight

Real BS bottle’s weight (standard 2 liter) is 350-360 gram

Fake BS bottle’s weight (standard 2 liter) is 370-400 gram

Stopper

Some of manufacturers use overall injection molding stopper for real BS bottle, but all fake BS bottle use half mold injection molding stopper

Rubber Content

During hot water bottle production, factory use around 50% rubber content making real BS bottle, only a few factories use 55% rubber content.

For fake BS bottle, standard rubber content is 21-22% rubber content. There are also importers request higher rubber content such as 30% (20-22% during production), 35% (30-32% during production), 45% (40-42% during production) rubber content. Also will change bottle body thickness then the bottle weight will up to 400 – 500 gram.

Bottom welding time

Real BS bottle bottom welding time is 90 seconds, fake BS bottle bottom welding time is around 55 seconds.

Bottom welding rubber

Real high quality BS bottle bottom rubber’s formula is different from body rubbers’. Fake BS bottle bottom rubber’s formula is same as bottle body rubbers’.
